Older brother: Today my family didn't have a lot of time to get outdoors so I am writing about our trip to the airport. My dad was coming in from Alabama. We went to pick him up from the airport. We were very happy to see him. Normally my brother was groggy after his nap but we told him that our Dad was coming. That really perked him up.
For dinner that night we went out to eat. I had cinnamon sweet potatoes, banana chips, broccoli, and tenderloin. To drink I had Sprite. My brother had fun running around the restaurant. We are glad to have our dad back home.

29 Jun - Whittier Elementary
Older brother: My mom, my little brother, and me went to my school's playground last night. While my brother played on the woodchip area, I was at the basketball court shooting hoops. Eventually I went over to my brother. When it was time to go my brother ran off. Meanwhile I dropped the basketball to go after my brother.
By the time I got back out off the playground, the ball was at the bottom of the hill and had crossed the street. I went after the runaway ball. After I had gotten the ball across the street my brother rolled the other ball down the hill. Finally we got home with both balls. We had a great time.

Both boys climbed on Snorkel. Eldest shot baskests as youngest talked to everyone there and climbed all over the playground equipment. Lovely, breezy evening in late June.

Mom: After an early dinner we walked down to the school. Stopped at one of my favorite trees in the neighborhood and took a picture of the two boys underneath it.

28 Jun - Carkeek Park Beach
Oldest brother: Today my mom, my brother, and I went to Carkeek Park. We played at the beach a lot. I tried to make a bridge. It was a total failure. After awhile we went up to the playground. They were repainting the salmon slide. It looked more like a shark with a salmon's head. My shoes were wet and covered with sand. I had to walk on the woodchips in bare feet. We had lots of fun.

Mom: We went left of the bridge over the tracks. It was low tide so plenty of beach and rocks and accumulated seaweed. Crab parts were scattered everywhere. At one point you could see the Sounder train on the nearby tracks, a car and passenger ferry out in the water and an airplane flying above. Came home with wet feet and pants legs and soggy, sandy socks and shoes.

Eldest and myself are going to take pictures from outdoor locations every day this summer and write a little post about each.
